IT Infrastructure in Mongolia.

Mongolia is a huge place and I have taken the opportunity to go over and help build the IT infrastructure over there, as you can imagine the country being  so big it is very hard for people to get around, communicate with one another.

Most people take what we have for granted, Take a look at these stats for example,

  • Main industries: traditionally agriculture and livestock, extensive mineral deposits (mainly metals)
  • Population: 2.839 million
  • Unemployment: 8.3%
  • Population below poverty line: 21.6%

If we build on the IT infrastructure for Mongolia they will have more communication, more trade routes (Once we have the communication opened up more doors open) will open up, the possibilities are endless in the world of technology

Training: Full utilization of ICT in each educational level’s curriculum and contents in order  to introduce ICT possibilities and gain knowledge and skills in using IT.

Hardware: Supply of hardware allows the conduct of training according to different level of modern ICT development and provides possibilities of free access to information.

Teaching staff: Supply of teaching staffs which have the capabilities to develop themselves  in terms of their own knowledge and skills in line with rapid development of ICT.

Economy: Full communication provides the country the chances to pioneer new trade routes, I.E. more job’s less unemployment so therefore the state of the economy will begin to move in a more positive direction than it already is.

There is many issues behind this due to, copyright, plagiarism, ownership of certain subjects, there is a huge barrier in many ways with these issues, however we have these issues in the whole world and we have overcome them with ease (to an extent) so we will with perseverance be able to give Mongolia the opportunity to overcome there economic barriers and join the rest of the world.
